Provincial funding assists Anishinabek Nation in developing anti-hate programming

By Rosalind Russell – A free online education resource is being developed by the Anishinabek Nation – with help of some provincial funding.

Nipissing MPP Vic Fedeli announced 39-thousand dollars from the government’s anti-racism anti-hate grant for the project.

Officials say the resource, which will include built-in Ontario curriculum expectations, will help people recognize and act to prevent occurrences of racism towards Indigenous people.

The online resource is available on the Anishinabek Nation website and is suitable for anyone age 12 and up.
