By Rosalind Russell – Cambrian College and College Boreal are two of the many post-secondary institutions that will be expanding enrollment for paramedics next school year.
The two schools will play a part in the more than 300 spaces added in paramedic programs in Ontario colleges, as the province continues to try and hire more healthcare workers.
Officials say with significant demand across the province, the change will make it easier for future paramedics to access education and training closer to home, all while making sure emergency services are available when and where Ontarians need them.
