Public Health Sudbury & Districts seeking new medical officer of health

By Rosalind Russell – Public Health Sudbury & Districts has begun the process of looking for a new medical officer of health and CEO.

Late last week, the board established a recruitment and selection sub-committee to begin efforts to recruit a candidate to succeed Dr. Penny Sutcliffe for the health agency.

Board chair, René Lapierre, says Dr. Sutcliffe will continue to lead the agency and ensure Public Health meets the needs of our communities as she prepares for her long-planned sabbatical and future retirement after 23 years in the position.

Lapierre says they hope to fill the position in the fall.
