Rainbow students shine at provincial Skills competition

By Rosalind Russell – Seven students from Rainbow Schools who showcased their talents at the Skills Ontario Competition brought home two silver and three bronze medals this past weekend.

Espanola High School’s Hetvi Patel brought home a bronze in Aesthetics and two students from Little Current Public School, Lauren Musquetier and Ada Nicolls, won a silver in Workplace Safety.

The other winners hailed from Sudbury schools.

Every year, Skills Ontario hosts Canada’s largest skilled trades competition, bringing together some 2,900 elementary, secondary and post-secondary students to compete in various trades.
