By Rosalind Russell – The Manitoulin Special Olympics organization has launched an online crowd fundraising campaign to send five six local Special Olympians to the Winter Games in Calgary.
The organization says their curling team, and their snowshoe champion Matthew Bedard will be going to the games from February 27 to March 2nd, so funding is needed to cover the costs.
Donations can be made online, and the public can also purchase 2024 National Games Gear to help raise the $10,000 needed.
