By Rosalind Russell – St. Joseph’s General Hospital Elliot Lake has appointed Dr. Todd Spencer as its new Chief of Staff. President, CEO Kelli-Ann Lemieux says Dr. Spencer has been a full-time active physician in Elliot Lake for 13 years practicing in anaesthesia, the Intensive Care Unit and palliative care.
Dr. Spencer hopes to focus on stabilizing existing programs while identifying opportunities for growth with the goal of attracting new physicians and health professionals to Elliot Lake and surrounding areas, ensuring more patients can receive care locally.
Lemieux welcomed Dr. Spencer into his new role and expressed gratitude to outgoing Chief of Staff, Dr. Frank Chi, for his service over the past three years.
Dr. Chi will continue practising anaesthesia in the operating room.
