Wikwemikong Tribal Police seize cocaine

By Rosalind Russell – About $20,000 worth of suspected cocaine is off the streets in Wiikwemkoong.

Wiikwemkoong Police Chief Ron Gignac says police seized the drugs yesterday as well as some cash.

He says a 44-year-old man and a 27-year-old woman, both from Wiikwemkoong, were charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking and more.

Both accused were held for bail court yesterday (April 16).

This investigation is a part of the Wikwemikong Tribal Police Service’s Drug Enforcement Strategy and Offender Management Program.
