By Rosalind Russell – If you smell smoke, it could be coming from hundreds of kilometres away.
Public Health Sudbury & Districts has issued a warning for several Northern areas including the North Shore and Manitoulin Island due to fires to the west including Manitoba.
Officials say mild symptoms from wildfire smoke can usually be treated at home and may include a mild cough, headache, and eye, nose, or throat irritation.
If you have more severe symptoms, talk to a health care provider or go to emergency.
