Generous donation means new beds for Manitoulin Island Manor

By Rosalind Russell – The Manitoulin Centennial Manor has reached its goal in funding new beds for the facility.

Manor Administrator Don Cook says two years of raising funds through their Tree of Lights Campaign has been capped off with a donation from the former Green Bay Hall, which was closed and sold recently.

With that final donation, Cook says all 60 beds will be replaced in the facility in the near future.

He says a new outdoor space featuring gardens and recreational amenities will also open soon for residents and staff to access.

Cook adds that a donation from the den Otter family in memory of Mary den Otter made the outdoor space a reality.
