By Grant Lewis – Dan Vanier and his staff have come through again in their ongoing support of your local Food Bank. Two thousand dollars was raised in a check out donation program. Seen here are a few of the volunteers at Helping Hand Food Bank receiving gift coupons.
Also Giant Tiger sponsored a “donation” BBQ outside the store on May 2nd. The store provided everything: hot dogs, buns, condiments, napkins, and drinks. The Espanola Lions and the Food Bank provided the labour! Almost $700 was raised. Mother Nature tried her best to thwart the generosity of this town BUT FAILED.
