LaCloche Art Show featuring new awards focusing on high school students

By Rosalind Russell – The 47th Annual La Cloche Art Show in Whitefish Falls will feature a new category focusing on high school art to mark the 75th Espanola High School Anniversary.

LaCloche Art Show Chair, Sue Miron says in order to encourage young artists to enter their art work, they are adding an Award Category for artists in the High School age group.

She says first and second place winners will receive a monetary award along with ribbon and certificate, adding recipients of this new category will also remain eligible for the other existing awards (oil, pastel, best in show, etc.)

Miron adds all other entry policies remain the same with the $30 entry fee covering a maximum of three entry pieces and all of them must be priced for sale.

She says art work and biographies will be accepted at the Whitefish Falls Community Centre on June 5th and 6th, adding the show will be held June 27th to July 4th.
