Skills competition underway for hundreds of students

By Rosalind Russell – A popular annual event has hundreds of students in attendance including several from Manitoulin Island.

Assiginack Public School students are among hundred competing in Toronto at the Lego Robotics Ontario Skills Competition in different categories.

They have 26 students competing in five categories.

It is all part of the Skills Ontario Competition, where younger students use Legos to compete in robotics challenges.

Their older counterparts also compete but making real robots and other products.

It is all being held today and tomorrow at the Toronto Congress Centre in Toronto.
