Truck takes out store front in Espanola

By Rosalind Russell – Hitting the gas instead of the brakes ended up with an Espanola business having its store front taken out, but fortunately with no injuries.

According to A Little Bit of Everything manager, Jocelynne Beland, a woman in a pickup pulled into the parking lot late Saturday morning and missed the brake, going through the store front huge plate window and taking out several shelves of merchandise and cash control.

She says fortunately one employee working at the time was at the back of the store, adding she is also grateful there were no customers there at the time.

She adds the damage is estimated at between $200,000 to a quarter million dollars.

Beland adds the repairs are already underway and they hope to reopen their doors within a week or so.
